SCRIBE Winery is located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, where we produce wines from our own 150-acre estate as well as other select sites throughout Sonoma and Napa County. We work with a wide array of varieties including Riesling, Sylvaner, Mission, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, made in an equally wide array of styles including sparkling, vermouth, rose, still reds & whites, and beyond.
Together, our 7-person production team focuses on making balanced wines that represent our sites. During the entire year, but especially over the harvest months, we work closely with one another and value collaboration, open conversation, a drive to learn, experimentation and having fun. We work hard to establish a culture that is familial and fun which often involves cooking lunch for each other, sharing wines at meals and during comparative tastings, and playing the occasional game of hammerschlagen. We’re looking to supplement our 2025 harvest team by hiring someone interested in monitoring and sampling our 150 acres of estate vineyard, along with a dozen or so additional sites. These sites span several AVAs throughout Sonoma and Napa county, over a variety of valley floor, coastal and mountain-side terrains. Our vineyard sampler will get the chance to observe grape ripening and vine phenology at its most critical time: as fruit is approaching its harvest date. You will assist in data collection and reporting for ripeness, as well as scouting for any issues that may result from heat, pests or any other challenges that mother nature brings forth. You will also be asked to assist in the cellar when you are not in the vineyards, offering opportunities to participate in the many different winery activities of harvest as well. This includes working on the crush line, monitoring fermentation and wine chemistry, running the press, barreling down, and much more.
