Lead the team that develops and successfully executes core brand marketing materials that build greater awareness and generate interest in, and an understanding of, RBC Wealth Management and our financial advisors. Manage and maintain brand integrity through governance of existing guidelines and expansion of brand applications as needed. Contribute to the advancement of team processes, partnership and platforms with a collaborative and strategic approach. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.

What will you do?

  • Participates in the collection of customer needs for graphic design work and gives suggestions to senior management on the implementation of forward-thinking strategic plans for graphic design that adhere to the company's visual identity and project requirements.
  • Lead designers to collaborate with marketing consultants and leaders on projects and initiatives.
  • Researches and shares resources and information to facilitate the graphic design process within a team; stays abreast on technological advances within the field.
  • Manages four designers, including hiring, training, supervising and terminating employee as necessary.
  • Conducts creative reviews of peer and designers work for brand and overall impact; provides feedback and direction as needed.
  • Develops and delivers graphic design work and visual materials utilizing specific graphic design, web development, and animation/sound processing tools.
  • Work collaboratively at a departmental leadership level to improve existing processes, creating solutions to create efficiencies.
  • Identify potential new deliverable modalities and applications; research, evaluate and implement as appropriate.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 15+ years of experience in graphic design
  • 10+ years of experience in an in-house team or design agency
  • Excellent typographic and visual design skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficient in coordinating and art directing photo shoots when necessary
  • Exceptional attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • An ability to quickly understand and adapt to new tech platforms in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-have

  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Office suite, Workfront
  • Financial services sector experience
  • Ultra High Net Worth or Luxury Brand experience

The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$130,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
