Job Title: Environmental Specialist
Location: Calera, Alabama
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $32.00
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.

• A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience operating power boats and watercraft.
• Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; effective communication abilities; and attention to detail.
