Job description:

Field Operations Manager

Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation | New Port Richey, FL | Travel Required

Division:   Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation

Reports To:   Operations Manager, Marolf Environmental

FLSA Status:   Exempt

Location:   New Port Richey, FL (Pasco County) — project travel required throughout FL and Southeast

Employment Type:   Full-Time

About Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation

Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation is a newly formed division of Marolf Environmental, LLC — a water and wastewater general contractor with over 100 years of operating history across Florida and the Southeast. This division is purpose-built to deliver cured-in-place pipe lining and pipeline rehabilitation services to commercial and municipal clients throughout the region. We are looking for a founding field leader who is ready to help build something from the ground up.

Position Summary

The Field Operations Manager is the operational backbone of Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation. In the early stage of this division, this role is intentionally broad: you will run crews in the field and handle the coordination work that keeps jobs moving — scheduling, logistics, client communication, material procurement, and documentation. As the division grows and workload justifies it, field execution and coordination responsibilities will be split into dedicated roles. This is a build-it position for someone who is energized by early-stage work and wants to grow with a division they helped launch.

What You'll Do

Field Execution

  • Lead CIPP field crews on commercial pipe and sewer rehabilitation projects, including long-run linings exceeding 1,000 LF
  • Operate and direct crews using Hammerhead Trenchless equipment or comparable inversion/pull-in-place systems
  • Oversee all site safety, QA/QC, cure monitoring, end seal installation, and lateral reinstatement
  • Perform and direct CCTV inspection before and after lining; interpret results and document findings
  • Set up and break down job sites including traffic control, bypass pumping, and equipment staging
  • Enforce confined space entry procedures and OSHA safety requirements on all sites

Operations Coordination

  • Own the day-to-day schedule across active projects — crew deployment, equipment movement, and material delivery
  • Serve as the primary field point of contact for owners, engineers, and inspectors during project execution
  • Coordinate material procurement including CIPP liner, end seals, and consumables; track inventory and flag reorder needs
  • Manage subcontractor and equipment rental coordination as needed on project-by-project basis
  • Maintain project documentation including daily logs, crew timesheets, material usage, and QA/QC records
  • Support project closeout including as-builts, warranties, and final CCTV submittals

Division Support

  • Work directly with Marolf Environmental leadership on job startup, client onboarding, and division process development
  • Identify gaps in field procedures, equipment needs, and crew capabilities; recommend solutions
  • Assist with pre-bid site walks and scope review as the division builds its estimating capability
  • Help establish field safety programs, equipment maintenance protocols, and production tracking systems for the division
  • Provide input on hiring as the crew grows — you will know what field talent this division needs

Growth Trajectory

This role is designed to evolve. As Marolf Pipeline Rehabilitation grows its project backlog and crew size, the coordination and administrative load will move to a dedicated Operations Coordinator. At that point, the Field Operations Manager transitions into a pure field leadership and oversight role — or into a broader Operations Director capacity depending on the direction the division takes. We are transparent about this: we want someone who sees the early-stage breadth as an opportunity, not a burden.

Marolf Environmental, LLC is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.

Requirements

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on CIPP lining experience with demonstrated crew leadership responsibility
  • Direct experience operating Hammerhead Trenchless equipment or comparable CIPP systems
  • Proven track record on commercial pipe and sewer rehabilitation, including long-run installations (1,000 LF+)
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously — field execution, scheduling, and client communication
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating without heavy administrative support in the early stage
  • Willingness to travel for project work throughout Florida and the Southeast
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR; ability to operate trucks and tow heavy equipment
  • Working knowledge of NASSCO/PACP standards and CCTV inspection requirements
  • Confined space entry trained; OSHA 10 minimum (OSHA 30 preferred)

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a superintendent, project manager, or operations lead role at a trenchless or pipeline rehab contractor
  • NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification
  • Experience on municipal or utility authority CIPP contracts in Florida
  • Familiarity with ASTM F1216 and ASTM F2019 liner specifications
  • Experience with bypass pumping setup and operation on live sewer systems
  • UV cure system experience in addition to steam/boiler cure

Benefits

Compensation is structured to reflect both the field demands and the operational scope of this role.

  • Competitive base salary — negotiable based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus tied to division growth and project outcomes
  • Per diem and travel reimbursement for all out-of-area project work
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
