Join the Global Trade Compliance (GTC) team at a leading multinational company and take on a critical role ensuring international trade operations run smoothly and comply with the highest global standards. As a key individual contributor, you will be instrumental in mitigating trade risks, preventing violations of global trade laws, and supporting the company’s continued global growth. You will partner with diverse cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Tax, Manufacturing, and Logistics, as well as external partners. This position is ideal for a mid- to senior-level compliance professional ready to be the primary expert for North American trade and sanction screening. You will drive regulatory excellence across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, while contributing to global initiatives. What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: 6–10 years of professional experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or customs, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Expert Knowledge: Solid understanding of Title 15 and Title 19. Strong proficiency in USMCA compliance, tariff classification, Country-of-Origin (COO) rules, customs entry processes, export controls, OFAC, BIS, and global sanctions regimes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Highly Valued Complementary Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with SAP and/or SAP Global Trade Services (GTS).
- Analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret and implement complex regulations.
- Experience in delivering compliance training and supporting global initiatives.
salary: $142,000 - $190,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Compliance Leadership: Support import/export compliance management across the North America region.
- Government Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for customs authorities and government agencies for audits, inquiries, and regulatory matters. Prepare and submit responses to government requests (e.g., CF-28s, CF-29s, SAT/CBSA inquiries).
- Audit & Review: Conduct internal compliance reviews, implement corrective actions as needed, and administer the company’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal.
- Trade Program Management: Drive and manage USMCA and other Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification processes and documentation.
- Global Initiative Participation: Actively participate in global trade programs, including Duty Drawback, Customs Reconciliation, IMMEX Compliance, and First Sale for Export programs.
- Sanctions and Export Control: Serve as the primary compliance contact for sanctions and export control within assigned business units. Manage and execute daily screening activities using SAP GTS, including due diligence, block resolutions, and ad hoc screening requests.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver essential training on import/export regulations, procedures, export controls, and sanctions screening processes to internal teams.
