Job Description

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Junior Business Analyst. This role will support business operations, reporting, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives for a growing U.S.-based organization.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for candidates looking to start or grow a career in business analysis, operations, or data-driven roles.

The Junior Business Analyst will work with internal teams to gather requirements, analyze data, document processes, and support business decisions. Training and mentorship may be provided to help build core analytical and business skills.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in business analysis, data analysis, operations, project coordination, or business intelligence.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and client hiring needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and business insights
  • Create spreadsheets, reports, and presentations for internal teams
  • Help analyze workflows and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain documentation for processes, reports, and projects
  • Track project updates, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assist with testing, system updates, or process improvements
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to support business needs
  • Organize data and ensure accuracy across reports and systems
  • Support cross-functional teams with operational tasks and analysis
  • Learn and apply business analysis tools, processes, and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics, information systems, or a related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, internships, or related roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new tools and systems
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
