Job Description

We are looking for a COMS who loves the "real world" application of mobility. This role involves in-person, high-impact instruction in the  Yreka, CA area . We are offering premium rates and travel stipends for a specialist to help a student gain spatial confidence in both rural and urban environments. The rate for this position is $55 to $75 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person, 1:1 O&M instruction focusing on street crossings and environmental mapping.
  • Lead "travel intensives" to busier urban centers to build transportation fluency.
  • Assess and refine cane techniques for a student with declining vision.
  • Document progress for compensatory hour fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • ACVREP Certification (COMS).
  • Ability to travel to Northern California (stipends provided) or local to the area.
  • Experience with 1:1 intensive compensatory service models.
