Public Relations Account Manager
Boston or Newburyport, MA; Providence, RI; Rochester, NY; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO

Hybrid: In office Mon-Thurs

We’re currently looking for a creative, results-focused  Account Manager experience to join our team who will take a lead role in managing client PR programs through traditional and social media channels. 

Here’s a mix of what you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated PR and social media strategies that elevate client visibility across print, broadcast, digital, and social platforms
  • Identify and secure high-impact media opportunities, from product launches and reviews to thought leadership and speaking engagements
  • Become a trusted advisor to your clients—deeply understanding their business, industry landscape, and goals to deliver proactive, strategic recommendations
  • Oversee day-to-day account execution, ensuring programs are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard
  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and confidently navigate challenges to keep programs on track
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering growth and collaboration across the team
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and results
  • Contribute to new business efforts, from identifying growth opportunities within accounts to helping craft compelling pitches and RFP responses

Along with being equal parts strategist, communicator, and team leader, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • 5+ years’ experience in public relations, preferably in an agency setting
  • Experience with B2B tech and/or cybersecurity is a strong plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple clients as well as manage multiple junior team members.
  • Ability to conceive and oversee the implementation of overall communication programs as well as targeted product launches, announcements, strategies, message development and corporate positioning
  • A demonstrated track record of leading successful, measurable PR and social media programs for multiple clients
  • A desire to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • A creative and results-oriented approach to all work that is produced
  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated experience creating messaging/positioning, press releases, blog posts, byline articles, etc.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience

Compensation:  The salary for this role is $85,000-95,000 based on experience.
